A Sneak Peek at the 2019 Audi A3

We’re fans of the Audi A3 at Audi Valencia, and by the numbers, it looks like many of our Oxnard and Valencia friends are too. Whether you’re replacing the first model you bought back when it debuted in 1996, contemplating your next move because your car’s coming off lease, or you’re new to the Audi brand altogether, the 2019 Audi A3 is shaping up to be a compelling proposition.

The 2019 Audi A3 rides on the same MQB platform as the previous generation. However, it’s expected to be slightly larger throughout, with much of the resultant interior volume being used to open up the second row seating space. The appearance will be only slightly different than the current Audi A3, with the most visible changes coming in the front fascia and the styling of the headlights and tail lights.

FWD will be standard. With manual transmissions vanishing from new Audi cars, we don’t expect one to be on offer here. Quattro AWD will continue on the upper trims. Active safety features will continue to improve.

Carscoops asserts that the new Audi Q3 is a likely preview of what to expect on the tech front. They predict the “Virtual Cockpit gauge cluster, large touch-screen MMI setup with haptic feedback, wireless phone charging, Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, 680 watt Bang & Olufsen premium sound and a myriad of customization options.”

You’ll have to wait a bit longer if you’ve got your eye on a 2019 Audi A3. It’s on tap for Audi dealerships this time next year, with the next-generation Audi S3 and Audi RS3 to follow in early 2020. If you’d prefer not to wait, there are plenty more new Audi vehicles to choose from at Audi Valencia right now. Visit us at 23923 Creekside Rd today!
